Here’s latest update from Whatsapp that allows users to backup Whatsapp messages to Google Drive account.
So starting today, WhatsApp for Android lets you create a private backup of your chat history, voice messages, photos, and videos in Google Drive. WhatsApp users on Android will have the option to backup their entire WhatsApp history right to Google Drive. WhatsApp version (2.12.303) from the company’s website is available.
To backup update open WhatsApp > tap on three-dots on the top right corner > Settings. Under settings, Tap on Chats and Calls > Chat Backup.
