February 2016 Android Distribution: Marshmallow Gains 1% Users
Google has posted some fresh stats of Android
Distribution for the month of February 2016. As per the new report or
distribution table created on the basis by traffic on Google Play Store
from last 15 days of January, Marshmallow has gained 1% of users.
In month of January, Android’s latest version, Marshmallow has risen
from 0.7% to 1.2%. This time it’s quite low speed for switching to the
latest Marshmallow version. It has been 4 months now since the launch of
the Android Marshmallow and adoption rate is 1% till now. That seems
quite slow but we hope soon it will pick pace.
Other versions are quite same but have some change as shown below:
Lollipop now sits at 34.1% of the pie, up from 32.6%. Everyone else is (and should be) dropping, like KitKat to 35.5% (from 36.1%), Jelly Bean to 23.9% (from 24.7%), Ice Cream Sandwich to 2.5% (from 2.7%), Gingerbread to 2.7% (from 3.0%), and Froyo to 0.1% (from 0.2%).
